Slip them on a couple of hours before bed and the blue and green tones from your phone, laptop and ceiling lights are filtered out, so your evening feels more like a natural sunset.

The red lens blocks blue light completely and filters green light as well. According to Evolutamente's spectrometer measurements, the coverage reaches about 560 nm, beyond the roughly 530 nm many evening glasses stop at. They settled on about 98% screening instead of 99% so you can still see comfortably in the evening.

Evolutamente suggests wearing them for about two hours before sleep, which helps you relax and supports your natural melatonin rhythm in the evening. They are also handy for unwinding on a flight. Every lens is checked with a portable spectrometer inside and out, so the filtering is measured, not assumed.

Key features

Frame: Dex, designed by Evolutamente

Lens: red night lens

Filtering: blocks blue light completely and filters green light as well

Spectrometer reading: coverage up to about 560 nm with around 98% screening, per the maker

Best time to wear: the last two hours or so before sleep, and to relax on flights

Certification: CE certified, lenses checked with a portable spectrometer

Shipped from our warehouse in Tallinn.
